About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Volunteer Center of Fresno County is to serve as a leader for the community by matching volunteer resources with volunteer opportunities.

Our History

The Volunteer Center of Fresno County, Inc. was founded in 1962 by a group of community leaders who saw the value of volunteering for individuals and the community alike. Incorporated as a 501 (c)3 non-profit in 1975, the Volunteer Center continues as the leader in cultivating a community conscience that promotes the spirit, the value and the dignity of volunteerism.

Our Values

People. We believe that through volunteer service, people have the capacity to enrich their own lives and improve the quality of life in their communities.

Diversity. We recognize that all people have time and talent to share, and that our community is strengthened when people connect.
